Smartphones prices increases in India as govt. hikes up GST 12% to 18%

          Now the buyer would have to pay more to buy their  favourite phones, as the GST has raised from 12% to 18% India .

        On Saturday 14 mar  2020 GST Council decided to increase the GST rate on smartphones from 12% to 18% in GST Council meeting, chaired by union finance  minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

         The Samsung , Xiaomi and other brand are continuously launching their new smartphones in India . On the behalf of  this the company is also aggressive on their priceses. But now as the government of India has raised the GST rate on mobiles and accessories by force the company has to increase the price of smartphones or reduce their profit margin. 

        As a result of the this, the rates of smartphones will increase soon in the Indian market. The GST rate will be applicable from 1st April 2020. So if you are planning to buy a smartphone  buy it as soon as possible.
